Indicators of success:
- Voluntary Attendance: Children come of their own volition, not because parents or schools push them.
- Agency: Children decide the activities and help evolve the rules of the space.
- Curiosity: An increase in the number of questions asked (e.g., questioning superstitions during an eclipse).
What to look for in children:
- They shed inhibitions, explore materials freely, and develop a "scientific temperament".
- They show a desire to learn regardless of the subject.
What not to worry about:
- Don't worry about "wasted" time spent only playing.
- Don't worry about traditional metrics like rote exams; focus on the individual learning journey.
