Collaboration Framework

Last updated: March 17, 2026

Vismaya Kalike's collaboration framework emphasizes open partnerships with community-based organizations, avoiding silos to amplify impact through shared resources, local wisdom, and mutual learning. It operates on principles of inclusivity, trust, and non-hierarchical exchange—welcoming volunteers, funding partners, and organizations for joint workshops, center setups, and program scaling without reinventing existing efforts.

Core Principles and Ethics

  • Community-Led and Inclusive: Centres are embedded in communities, prioritizing marginalized groups like migrants, informal workers, tribal, mining-affected, and low-income families. Ethics focus on child agency, joy in learning, and holistic support (education, health, scholarships).
  • Non-Siloed Collaboration: Partner to leverage strengths—e.g., community ties, funding, workshops—while learning from each other. No duplication; emphasis on democratic spaces where children choose their paths.
  • Transparency and Accountability: As a unit of Heera Foundation (registered NGO with 80G certification), annual reports detail finances, impact, and ethics like privacy (e.g., anonymized stories), equitable support (prioritizing girls, low-income), and long-term sustainability.
  • Ethical Funding: Donations support centres, scholarships, and scaling; regular contributions preferred for stability, with clear breakdowns.

Joining Hands for Joyful Learning

At Vismaya Kalike, we know transformation happens together. Our collaboration framework invites partners—community organizations, funders, volunteers, and educators—to co-create joyful learning spaces, scaling from 1 center in 2017 to 8 in Bengaluru plus 35 in Hosapete, with 100 across Karnataka in sight.

We partner with grassroots groups like Sakhi Trust, SJS, DBRC, Sangama, AID India, and others who bring deep community roots, ensuring our work is relevant and resilient. Ethics guide us: child agency first, inclusive access for the most vulnerable, transparent reporting via annual audits, and mutual learning through workshops for 50+ facilitators.

How to Collaborate

  • Set Up Centres: Organizations adopt our model; we provide training/materials.
  • Funding/Scholarships: Monthly support for operations or student aid.
  • Volunteering: Spend time in centres, facilitating play-based learning.
  • Workshops/Exchanges: Co-host sessions on agency-driven education.
